WhatsApp will allow users to create customized stickers using AI directly in chats

WhatsApp users will soon be able to create customized stickers directly in chats using artificial intelligence (AI). As generative AI is making its way into most of the popular platforms, this technology will soon be seen in WhatsApp as well. According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s new AI stickers tool will soon be available for users to use as some Android beta users have been able to see it after the latest update.

Congrats!
Once the new feature is rolled out, WhatsApp users will be able to see a new ‘Create’ button when they open the keyboard within the Stickers tab. When users select this button, they will be asked to enter a description that will be used to generate the sticker. The platform will then provide a set of AI stickers generated by the details provided.
The report states, “Al stickers are produced using a secure technology offered by Meta.” If users feel a sticker is inappropriate or harmful, they can also report it to Meta.
The feature is expected to be helpful as users will be able to create stickers that are personalized and relevant to their interests, experiences, or conversations.
The AI stickers feature is currently available to some beta testers who installed the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android and is being rolled out to more users in the coming weeks.
Last week, it was reported that the messaging platform WhatsApp has started rolling out a new multi-account feature on Android Beta, which allows users to add additional accounts to the app. This feature will help users to keep their personal chats, work conversations, and other chats in a single application.
It was also reported that the Meta-owned platform has started working on a new Passkey feature for account verification on Android Beta.
A passkey is a short sequence of numbers or letters that is used to verify a user’s identity. It also acts as a type of security code that ensures that only authorized devices can be verified. (With inputs from IANS)
