As WABetaInfo reports, the Passkey feature will provide users with an easier way to sign in securely.

A passkey is a short sequence of numbers or letters that is used to verify a user’s identity. It also acts as a type of security code that ensures that only authorized devices can be verified.
“Since Passkey will use your fingerprint, face, or screen lock to verify your identity, it enhances security, adding an extra layer of security beyond traditional methods like PINs,” the report said.
The passkey feature is currently under development and is expected to be available in a future update of the app.
On Sunday, it was reported that the messaging platform has started rolling out an admin review feature for group chats on Android beta.
This feature allows everyone in a group chat to report messages shared in the conversation to the group admins. With this feature, group admins can get help monitoring the group even when they are not there.
Last month, the company released new security tools on Android Beta to users when they receive messages from unknown phone numbers.
The platform also introduced the ‘Link with phone number’ feature on Android Beta, which allows users to link their account to WhatsApp Web using their phone number.
In June, the Meta-owned platform launched a feature that allows users to send high-quality videos on Android Beta.
Although this feature preserves the video dimensions, slight compression will still be applied to the videos, thus it is not possible to send the videos in their original quality.
